NoAudiophile DSP Corrections for tested speakers

You can use Equalizer APO for PC to apply this setting to your Windows PC at a system level. For Mac you can try this out choosing the parametric EQ option and entering the filters by hand. If you are a Linux user and the chops to prove it, this is a good solution for System Wide DSP.

Loses very little in perceived volume. Tone controls should be set to flat, but will function normally with the DSP correction enabled. These speaker should be on desktop stands, you want to avoid seeing the top of the speaker from the listening position if possible. Canned goods, books, or anything solid that can hold the weight of the speakers up will work well as stands. Try random stuff as stands to figure out the height, then worry about finding something pretty that does the job.
